Product decisions, operations, pricing, and the contribution line. That is nearer to product management in a manufacturing business than to a software squad.
AFTER THE SALE.
Most of a machine's life happens after it ships. I work on that end: what comes back, what it costs, and what the people designing the next one never get told. My master's thesis at Toyota Material Handling Europe is about that gap. I have also run a product and its numbers myself.
Where the margin sits, and where product knowledge goes missing.
Product and product marketing, go-to-market, and circularity on the implementation side.

Evidence
Co-founded a delivery platform and owned product, operations, pricing, and a team of 8. 10,000 users and $80k GMV in year one, bootstrapped. I left in 2024. It is still running, now past 500,000 orders.
↗ Launch and enablement Dodge 'n BurnsRan strategy and growth for a studio of 18, translating client requirements into work the team could deliver and building the funnels behind it. 165+ projects across 8+ countries.
↗
An eight-condition framework for diagnosing where end-of-use knowledge stops before it reaches product design. I built the theory and the framework. Johan built the methodology.
Two years of content inside a large institution with its own brand rules and approval chain. My own work passed 250,000 views.
Roles I am going for
Product Manager
Portfolio ownership, launch, pricing input, and lifecycle. I have carried a product's numbers rather than only its backlog.
Product Marketing
Positioning, market intelligence, sales enablement, and technical content for long cycles and buying committees of engineering, procurement, and maintenance.
Growth and GTM
Funnel design and the maths behind it. My depth so far is consumer, and Journoa is where I am building the B2B side properly. Worth knowing before you shortlist me.
Circularity and Lifecycle
Ecodesign, remanufacturing, and getting field knowledge back into design. LCA to ISO 14040 and 14044, hands on in SimaPro. Implementation rather than reporting.
What changes in July 2026
- Ecodesign and the product passport
-
The EU framework and the central Digital Product Passport registry go live in July 2026. Product rules phase in by category through 2030, starting with iron and steel, then textiles, tyres, and aluminium. Battery passports are mandatory from February 2027.
- Right to repair
-
Directive 2024/1799 applies from 31 July 2026, including to products already on the market. Repairability stops being a design preference.
- Why that runs into my thesis
-
Both assume a manufacturer can get information from its installed base back into design. My research is about why that usually fails, and the eight organisational conditions that decide whether it works. Visibility and information flow turn out to rest on different conditions, so a service business model can deliver the first without the second.
- What I would do with it
-
Map where the information stops today, work out which loops are worth closing commercially, and build the route back to design. That last part is the bit I would want to own.
LET'S TALK SPECIFICS.
If you are working on aftermarket, services, or circular offers and want someone who can read the numbers and build the thing, tell me what you are stuck on.
